1) Help! I've got a problem with the website!
No worries, just send us a quick message here and we will do our best to help you.
2) How do I submit a new story?
Sure, just checkout the uniNews tutorial which will guide you through the process and other helpful info on how to use the website.
3) How do I change my avatar/image?
This one is a little tricky, and it's something we hope to make easier in future versions.
Firstly your avatar or the image displayed next to your username must be either a gif or a jpg image. Ideally it should be 30x30 pixels, but if not it will be automatically resized.
Login, go into your Profile and select "Modify" under the "Personal info" section. Now if you can't see a box at the top to let you browse for your image, select the "I want to upload my own avatar." option and click Save. Then the browse box will display. Browse for your image file and then click "Upload Image". Your new avatar should be displayed. Click Save again.
If you receive any errors saying something about your password, what you need to do is before clicking the Save button... scroll down and manually delete the "New password" field at the bottom of the page (this is sometimes automatically filled in certain web browsers... and is on our bug list).
4) How do I change my profile details?
Login. Click on the Profile tab. Under the "Personal info" tab, click the "Modify" button. You will then be able to add and change your details here.
If your web browser is automatically filling the "New Password" field you will need to manually delete this text before clicking the "save" button (otherwise it will think you are changing your password).
5) Why are things being pushed to the bottom of the screen?
Let me guess... you're using Internet Explorer (IE)?
I hate IE with a passion. It is painful to code for and tends to always mess up the display. The issue will be fixed in later versions of uniNews. But for the meantime I suggest you install Firefox. It's a much, much better browser... plus you will gain some mega geek-cred amongst your posse!
